EDR
Electronic Direct Registration is a share registration system connecting all the databases of all participating stock transfer agents. It enables the STA to register stock transfer directly and electronically. Shareholders / Investors are given EDR accounts which they can use to trade.

EEN
EDR Enrolment Number, a control number defined by PASTRA. Used as a reference for stockholder enrolment in the EDR. EEN is issued and affixed tot he EDR Enrolment Form (EEF) upon successful pre-enrolment, either through the web or the STA office.

SCN
Shareholder Card Number, an ID number (similiar to the CIF Number) issued by PASTRA to a Shareholder that registered. The ID number is issued only once and it is transparent to all STA members. The SCN is printed on the EDR Shareholder Card (ESC). A Shareholder can only have one SCN.

SRN
Shareholder Registry Number, a confidential account number issued by the EDR to every EDR enrolee

STA
Stock Transfer Agent, the entity that manages the issued shareholdings of a listed company.

Process Flow of Enrollment and Registration of Shareholder

Via Shareholder themselves
1. Shareholder accesses the EDR Enrollment Form (EEF) at www.pastranet.com and submits electronically.
2. EDR system generates EDR Enrollment Number (EEN), Enrollment Transaction Record (ETR) and Transaction Log.
3. Shareholder receives confirmation from the EDR system with EEN. Shareholder prints confirmed EEF for actual submission to STA.
4. Shareholder goes to STA and submits EEF, Stock certificates, etc. Enters a Username and Password.
5. STA validates the Enrollment in the EDR system and generates Stockholder Registration number (SRN) and Stockholder Card Number.

Via Broker on behalf of Shareholder
1. Shareholder goes to Broker for enrollment to EDR for specific shares. Surrenders to broker other required documents for registration.
2. broker accesses the EDR system to enroll shareholder.
3. EDR system generates EDR Enrollment Number (EEN), Enrollment Transaction Record (ETR) and Transaction Log.
4. Broker receives confirmation from EDR system with EEN. Broker prints confirmed EEF for actual submission to STA.
5. Broker goes to STA and submits EEF, Stock certificates, etc.
6. STA picks up Enrollment documents of Shareholder in PASTRA.
7. STA validates the Enrollment in the EDR system and generates Stockholder Registration Number (SRN) and Stockholder Card Number (SCN).
8. STA sends the Shareholder a PIN-MAILER for Temporary username and password.
